We were property owners that entrusted Desert Wide to manage our property. Recently the tenants moved out of our property. DW forgot to list the property so it was going to sit vacant until we contacted them inquiring about the move out. DW sent an inspector to the place to look at the property. We were told that a little paint and cleaning was all it needed. Since we live out of state we typically have to rely on DW to do thier job and trust what they tell us. My brother in law was in the area so we had him stop by. UNBELIEVABLE is all I have to say. The pics he took and sent back to us said it all. The previous tenants had a dog that chewed through EVERYTHING. We are talking, major damage. Cleaning?? I really dont think the place had been cleaned since we did it in 2003. Extensive damage to the house had been done and the inspector failed to see this each time a tenant had moved. Over the years we had been charged for several items of maintanence work. I can honestly tell you that it was never done and the bad thing is that 2 parties have been charge. The owner and the previous tenant. Obviously DW pockets the money. We had also asked them to go by the place and check on it but according to them, the fuel prices were too high so they could not do that. There is truly a list of items that never were done. The items that were done were a joke as well. They replaced a designer faucet with a Wal Mart brand faucet. A broken window was replaced by someone who has no experience with glass and caulking. A doorbell cover was never replaced after painters sprayed the inside of the house and sprayed over light bulbs and ruined hardwood floors. A door frame was stuffed with pop cans and newspapers when we were told that it was loose. Landscaping was not performed. Dog excrement for about a year was left in the back yard.
