Manager with Attitude
I've shopped at this store since the day they opened, and I've been using the same card coupled to my phone number for all these years. I never carry a card, I always use my phone number. The other day I gave my phone number to the checker and she said "It's not in our system." I said that's funny, I've used that number as recent as yesterday and it was fine then. She entered it again, and again, and then said, "Nope, it's not in our system." Now the line is beginning to back up so I asked for a manager. The on duty manager comes over and he tries my number and says, "It's not in our system." I asked now what do I do, I want the discount that the card provides and I want the gas points. He told me I had to go to customer service. I told him that it didn't help me much with this purchase (which was considerable) and he said.... "Well we've got to get these people behind you through here." I ended up calling my wife on my cell phone so she could read the numbers of the back of the card, and I completed the transaction. I was offended by the managers comment and I've notified the head Manager of the store to express my concerns. I'll shop there again, but the fellow who humiliated me in front of others better give me a wide birth or he'll need to see a dentist.
