Horrible office-rude, expensive and pushy
I went to this office for a toothache. They told me I needed 23,000 (yes...not a typo) worth of work! The quack of a dentist said I needed 4 root canals and crowns. I could not believe that, I only had pain in one tooth. I ended up taking the plan they gave me (that I had to fight to get) to another dentist for a second opinion. I was given a plan at that practice that was $98.00 total, which was my part for the filling that I needed in the tooth I orginally complained that hurt. I even had new xrays taken at the new place, they said they found no caviites and no need for root canals on any of the other teeth! I have since turned Dr. Thomas over to the Dental Board. From the reviews I have read since and the Board complaints against him this my situation is not an isolated incident. The office manager there is so rude. It took her 3 weeks to call me back and when I did talk to her to tell her what my new dentist found she told me that my new dentist obviously didn't have the skills that their doctors did...uhm...the xrays speak the truth!

Worst Experience Ever....
I went in for some major dental work (6 teeth to be extracted) where the day of the surgery the periodontist changed his mind down to 4 teeth pulled as the surgery was beginning. It was best determined I go for a second opinion where it was decided the full 6 would be pulled. I then went back to the office of Arizona Premier Dental Group (APDG) to have the 6 teeth extracted that same day. For that surgery alone it took more than 12 months for the company to bill my insurance company. I have found after talking to the new dentist I was severely overcharged for the surgery and the flipper that constitutes where teeth will be.

I chose to have Arizona Periodontal Group (APG) do all nine bone grafts and implants which has taken about a year to complete. It is now time for the crowns and bridges to be installed upon the original plan of Dr. Thompson at APDG. Since then, I have called them to find out when we could continue and what the cost would be (over a year I figured new pricing). I was told they did not have record of me at all. They did not know what surgical practice was going to be performed when it was Dr. Thompson and his staff of oral surgeons that decided what was to be done.

I was told I would be contacted no more than three days which would allow them to find my file and determine pricing. That was more than 5 weeks ago and I have never been contacted. Now I have found a new dentist and APDG is not releasing copies of my x-rays to the new dentist even though the correct paper work has been filled out and APDG has acknowledged they received the paperwork.

I am at a loss on what to do. I do not wish APDG on my worst enemy and just want the x-rays that I have asked for. They can have the original. I want a copy sent to the dentist that I have selected.

I have asked for the Better Business Bureau for help in resolving this matter as well as having a mark against them in the practice of ethical, moral, and honest business practices.

Poor Customer Service
I have been a patient here for three years and experience the same issues every time: (1) Long wait before being called in (2) having to RE-fill out paperwork before every appointment (always told that they "need to update the files" even when nothing has changed since our last visit) (3) 3 people providing service - one takes the xrays, one does the cleaning and, finally, the dentist comes in (you have to wait at least 10 minutes after each portion of the service is done for a standard cleaning. (4) THEN, you are ushered back out to the waiting room to, well WAIT, until they are ready to have you pay the bill. The front office staff always appears bored. The last time I was there, I made an appt. for a routine cleaning. I arrived 10 minutes early, waited 15-20 minutes, was called in, waited another 10 minutes, had someone take my blood pressure and x-rays, waited another 10 minutes, the dentist came in and examined my teeth - THEN they tried to send me on my way to work. I angrily told them that I made an appt for a cleaning and they told me that I had to come in another time for that - there was no time that day! Are you kidding me?? The horrible part about this place is they really don't seem to care how inconvenienced you are. Not even a simple apology that a mistake was made in scheduling. They simply avoid eye contact. Unfortunately, we are stuck because it is the only option on our insurance plan. Ugh. If you have a choice, choose elsewhere.

Poor Service by Charlie s. at InsiderPages
I have been going to Thomas for the past 6 years. The last two times I have visited, the service has been poor. They are always late getting me in. I show up 15 mins early for my appointment, and I dont see the Dentist until 40 mins after my appointment. You voice you concerns and it goes in one ear and out the other. The Manager is unhelpful and doesnt seem to care! Its not like it use to be.

Your kids will love this office! by Jane S. at InsiderPages
I recently took my children into this office for their dental exams. I was very happy with the way the whole staff were so friendly and kind to my children. They were patient and happy to talk to my children. The doctor explained everything he was doing so my children would not be afraid. He also explained to each child how important it is to brush and floss and how to do these properly. He recommended sealants for my younger children and explained why these are so important and effective. After, they let my children pick a small toy from the treasure box. My children can't wait to go back and I couldn't be happier!
