I'm sure this place is great, assuming you can get your kid into it. We toured the place in June based upon a recommendation from family. Everything sounded good so we paid the deposit. We were told they would definitely have a spot when the baby came. Baby came in November, and we called to let them know we were still on for end of January/early February. Come to find out, our deposit didn't mean anything!
We emailed as soon as the baby was born. They did not respond to our email. Finally, they sent out a mass listserv email to an unknown number of people who I'm sure were also told they were "guaranteed a spot" to "clarify" their wait list policy (the policy in the email was completely different from what we were told when we toured the place and completely different from the information they gave us in a packet). Apparently, you aren't really guaranteed a spot and they will get you in whenever they feel like it.
What's the point of putting down a deposit if it doesn't guarantee anything? I feel like this place is attempting to take on too many clients, making promises they can't keep, and causing a lot of parents a good deal of frustration.
The wait list policy is spot on with their policy for switching your child from part-time to full-time. They really have no idea when they can get your child in and have no idea when your child can go from part-time status to full-time. The place is completely mis-managed and unprofessional.
Like I said above, I'm sure this place is great if you can get your kid in, but be warned that when the time comes, you may need a backup day care. I can't recommend this place to anyone. The last thing parents with a newborn need to do is go rushing around to find a day care. I guess giving Little Dreamers Big Believers an eight month notice isn't enough.
