This is the best Pizza in Arizona, actually the best in the country. I have been going there for years. Everything is home made and the owner Chris is always there. When you go make sure you allow for 3 hours and make it the main event for night.
Pros: Awesome food & great service
Cons: Long wait time to be seated
Price Range: $10 - $25

I was not "blown away" by the pizza. The wait is ridicuolus. The pizza is not bad, it's pretty good, but it is definitely NOT worth the wait. I grew up in NJ/NY area and while this pizza resembled thin crust northern pizza I wouldn't rate it in my top 50! I get the whole "trendy, quaint little eatery" thing, but it's pizza folks, not an entire mouthwatering italian menu...just pizza. The system of which people wait for hours should be reviewed and updated so customers don't have to stand in line for hours. Have 1 employee there early so people can sign the list, and go sit down somewhere and have a drink. Expand your relationship with the bar across the street so people can relax over there as well. Take care of your customers...don't make them stand in line like a herd of cattle. Your buzz WILL eventually wear off, try to build relationships with your customers instead of treating them like garbage. OVERRATED!!!

Cons
Cons: In short, I had the worst pizza ever. I did my research so I ordered their homemade bread to dip in their selected olive oil followed by the Rosa for my pizza. The bread was cold and hard/stale. The pizza was overpowered by only a few flavors, parmesan cheese and garlic. It is the main ingredients but it over powered everything else resulting in an awful taste. The wine, their house Chianti, had a strong after taste resembling the flavor of glue. In their defense, the chef had just left when I was seated at 9:30pm after waiting 3.5 hours, leaving his assistants to do the cooking. I hope that the problem isn't that they just don't care anymore of their services and quality since people always come due to their popularity from magazines and Oprah.
Pros: I thought the two waitresses were not only very beautiful but pleasant and professional. While I waited, they had another house wine that resembled something like a Merlot and was very good. My meal including the one Chianti wine was only $22 - so I didn't complain.

If you want a great dining experience in Phoenix, try the Quiessence and Durant's steakhouse. I did and it was great!

Our last visit to this place was our 5th time. I had decided to take my boyfriend for his birthday because it's always somewhat of a "special treat". You have to wait 3.5 hours so it's worth it, right?

NOPE! Me and my boyfriend will never go back. After sticking around outside the restaurant our entire wait, I began noticing parties who were wayyy behind us in line were being seated before us. We arrived there at 4:10 pm when the restaurant opens at 5 and were told we would be seated by 7:30.

My boyfriend kindly went to speak to the receptionist (who is a blonde, part owner only because she is married to Chris Bianco) who called him a CONSPIRACIST and then asked him for his proof that they were seatting other people before us. When he pointed out the tables, she said, "Of course we are going to sit a party of 6 and 4 before a party of 2!"

This place used to have something great, but now I see they have become money hungry. Same staff there each time we have been and they have terrible, rude customer service.

Our food was no better. Our Sonny Boy pizzas were burned at the crust and uncooked in the middle. It was somewhat tortilla-like and we had to fold it over to eat it.

I hope everyone else has way better experiences there than we did.

The pizza's were terrific, our party of eight had four different kinds, we loved every pizza. This is a suggestion, book a reservation a month ahead. We got to the restaurant at 5:00 PM, we got into the restaurant at 7:00 PM, this is typical with no reservations, or get to the restaurant at 4:00 PM. It helps that the temperature is not 109 degrees outside in July.
