"Great Mexican Food"Always enjoy this for our mexican food cravings. Authentic and delicious. Not expensive and the drinks are lets just say a good pour lol. Great service, I always get the chicken chimichanga juicy, not dry and very flavorful.
"Never Go Again"The other night, I was having a wonderful evening when there was a loud interruption. A lesbian couple had been asked to leave the restaurant by the owner after kissing. The restaurant owners and workers were prejudice and quite rude. I do not appreciate this and hope that they will change how they run things in the future.

"DO NOT GO THERE!"I went there for lunch. i ordered 2 tacos carne asada and 1 tamal (red). The tacos came with onions, cheese and lettuce, no cilantro at all! 3.95 each. the tamal was slimy and terrible and was around $3 and i had a large horchata - tasted like slightly sweetened WATER and all of this was for $12.00!!!!! such a rip off. i would never go back there AGAIN!!!!‎

"Fabulous Food!"We discovered Hal O Penos 20 years ago when we lived in the neighborhood and it is still our favorite. Their Green Corn Tamales are the best I have ever eaten and their menu is full of other wonderful meals! Their chips and salsa are the best in Phoenix. Very casual, reasonably priced, large portions are very satisfying and taste delicious! We live in MN now and get to return to Phoenix...

"Addicting!"I am not the only one addicted to this place - my family and friends that I send there are blown away. Way better food quality and service compared to other local branches. The chicken is seasoned to perfection, the salsa is AMAZING! All of it, but especialy the avocado salsa. Better than most expensive dine in Mexican restaurants. Best fast food available by far.
